Ayada Maldives Resort Opens


Ayada Maldives, a new resort in the Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll in the Maldives, is now open and welcoming its first guests.
Located amidst a pristine reef within the southern rim of the Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll in the southern Maldives, 268 miles south of the capital Male, the island based resort occupies 150,000 square metres of undisturbed and indigenous vegetation and offers uninterrupted views of the breathtaking Maldivian landscape.
The 112-villa resort comprises 33 Beach Villas, 4 Beach Suites, 14 Sunset Beach Suites, 33 Ocean Villas, 11 Sunset Lagoon Suites, 16 Sunset Ocean Suites and a duplex Ayada Royal Ocean Suite.
Guests can enjoy a variety of dining experiences found in the seven restaurants, an extensive 3500 sqm AySpa & Health Club managed by ESPA, a dive and watersports centre and a kid’s club.

MoT sanctions over Rs 23 cr for tourist complex at Deoghar

The Union Ministry of Tourism has sanctioned over Rs 23.71 crore to develop a Q-Complex at Deoghar Temple under the centrally-sponsored product or infrastructure development for the destination and circuit scheme. A steering committee has also been formed under the name ‘Mega Destination, Deoghar.’ The Tourism Secretary has been made the nodal officer for monitoring, execution and utilisation of funds for the mega project.

According to a report in the Daily Pioneer, the ambitious project will be on lines of the Tirupati Temple in Andhra Pradesh. “The first installment, around Rs 11.85 crore, for a state-of-the-art Q-Complex at Deoghar Temple has been released. The steering committee for the work has also been formed,” said Bimla Pradhan, Tourism Minster, Jharkhand. The second installment of 30 per cent will be released after receipt of 50 per cent utilisation certificate of the previous installment.

The project includes beautification and development of the Deoghar Temple, apart from the construction of the three-storey Q-complex. The state government will have to furnish a quarterly statement of progress and expenditure incurred to the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. “We have sent a detailed project report (DPR) to the Centre. As soon as it is sanctioned, work at Deoghar will start,” added Pradhan.

During Shravan, Deoghar faces a huge rush, which is expected to be managed efficiently after construction of Q-Complex. Pradhan informed, “Once we get a green signal from the Centre, a tender will be issued at the earliest for the mega project.”Popularly known as Baidyanath Dham, the tourist centre has been sanctioned as a mega destination by the President of India.
